1080p Televisions

If you are buying a Blu Ray player then you have to ensure that your television can actually handle the quality that is given from an HD Blu Ray player.

The resolution of a Blu Ray player is usually 1080p and so when you buy a new television make sure that it can handle that resolution; most of the modern televisions that can are LCD and are very stylish and well as being able to display the breath-taking HD imagery.

Many LCD televisions will say that they are 'HD Ready' but you have to keep in mind that this does not mean that they can display the 1080p picture; HD Ready simply states that it can display an HD picture but there are several with 1080p being the best. There are also 1080i and 720p which are not as good and so make sure that the LCD television can show the 1080p picture when you buy.
